Tasting Notes
A golden fruity bitter with a floral aroma and malty / hoppy aftertaste.  Brewed with Maris Otter pale & wheat malts, and English Goldings hops, plus Cascade hops from the USA.

Locally (very locally it seems), ‘Twitchell’ is an old term for a narrow street (ie an alleyway), of the sort that were once found in the old market towns of the region.  Nowadays, Royston is one of the last town centres to still retain these little cut-throughs between parallel streets.  Since 2004, it has been a legal requirement (under the Beards & Sandals Opinion Regulation & Enforcement Act of 2002) for breweries to brew a golden ale that tastes slightly sweet & fruity.
