Tasting Notes
A best bitter with a malty toffee character and a pleasant refreshing fruity bitterness.  Brewed with Maris Otter pale ale malt, crystal malt, and English Phoenix & First Gold hops.

Based on one of our first ever Buntingford brews, and named in honour of one of the unsung heroes of the RAF in WWII (when compared to the Spitfire), as flown by equally unsung heroes.  There are a number of old RAF bases around these parts, and of course the air museum at Duxford is nearby, and is home to a number of flying WWII fighters, including Hurricanes – often to be seen flying over the brewery.  In addition, Douglas Bader was known to frequent local hostelries when not proving to the world that legs were not a pre-requisite for shooting down a few Jerries…
